The “ตกปลาไทย” (Tok Pla Thai) app computes all tide and calendar data on your device. It has
no user accounts and no server of ours. It does not collect your name, email, or phone number.
Location: requested only when you tap “use my location”, used on-device to pick the
nearest tide station, never stored or sent anywhere, discarded when the app closes. The app is
fully usable without granting location.
Advertising (free version only): shows Google AdMob “App Open” ads (at most once per
4 hours). Google may collect and use the device advertising identifier and general usage data
to select and measure ads, per Google’s policies
(policies.google.com/technologies/ads). On iOS the app asks for App Tracking Transparency
permission first; declining shows non-personalised ads. The one-time Pro unlock removes
all ads.
In-app purchase: “Pro” is processed by the App Store / Google Play; we never see or
store payment details. A local flag records that you purchased.
No analytics of ours, no third-party services other than AdMob (free version) and the
platform IAP.
Tide data is bundled from the open EOT20 ocean-tide model (CC-BY 4.0); nothing is
downloaded during use.
